The Santa Trega Hillfort dates back to the 4th–1st centuries BCE, with occupation continuing until the 1st century CE. Its strategic location provided extensive visual control over the Miño River estuary and the Atlantic coast. The settlement features a typical structure with circular stone houses and a complex urban organization. It is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula and a symbol of Galicia’s pre-Roman culture.
