Located in a stunning natural setting, this tower is a relic of medieval architecture rising through the mists of northern Galicia, surrounded by green meadows and local legends.

Torre da Candaira is a medieval remnant that belonged to the influential Andrade family, lords of much of northern Galicia. Although now in ruins, this defensive tower was once an important strategic point for controlling access to the estuaries and trade routes. Its architecture reflects the military functionality of the time, with thick stone walls and small windows used as arrow slits. Surrounded by a spectacular natural setting, the tower invites visitors to imagine the tales of knights and conflicts that shaped medieval Galicia.
