The Castro de Armeá is a Gallaecian-Roman hillfort located in the parish of Santa Marinha de Augas Santas, in the municipality of Allariz. Its occupation dates back to the Iron Age and continued until the Romanization period, when it gained importance as a possible administrative or religious center. Notable features include its stone structures and its connection to the legend of Saint Mariña, linking the site to an ancient pre-Roman cult. Excavations have uncovered circular dwellings and the remains of a possible monumental building, making it a key site for understanding the evolution of hillforts in southwestern Galicia.
